I'm back...

Well it's been a while... Apologies for my lack of blogging, I've never been very good at this blogger lark but this time I'm gonna stick to it!!

Blogging was a chore on my old laptop, I'd upload pics and end up getting very frustrated at it's slowness and constant crashing. I never got a new one because it wasn't broke, just a big pain in the bum. But one day I turned it on and was faced by a blank screen, so after ranting about "how they don't make 'em like they used to", I decided to embrace modern technology and got myself a schnazzy pink number (granted I only bought it for it's prettiness), but I have to say I'm a little in love!

So what's new with Vintage Laura xx? Well I've done 2 more Sutton Vintage and Arts fairs - photos can be found on my Facebook page. One where I met the lovely Vintage Vixen! I'm soon to have my advertisement in The Vintage Directory - you can pre-order your copy here. I'm currently working on some new one-off jewellery pieces, a Marilyn pendant range, a new Summer-inspired range, purses and cushions. I'm also trying to tackle creating a website which is coming along quite nicely!

Now time for me to catch up with your blogs!!

Busy busy bee...

I wish I had more time to blog! I've been working long and late hours at my new job and all my other spare time is spent locked away in my craft room with Glee on repeat :-( so apoligies to my readers!!

Right then what have I got to show for my lack of blogging??

New makes! More can be seen on my Facebook page

Unfortunately I've been working most Sunday's so haven't had chance to buy any vintage booty beauts :-( but I have nabbed a few gems from my parents so I shall photograph and do a show and tell later on this week!

Also just to let you know if any of you are in the Stoke area this Sunday then come along to Nana's Vintage Fair :-)

It looks to be a brilliant day!

Booty Bargains...

Sunday was the first booty of the season and I was up early, wrapped up warm and had a purse full of change! It didn't take long for me to find the first bargain, something I've been after for ages and difinately the buy of the day!

A large 1953 Queens Coronation fabric Union Jack - £1 and on the same stall I got a Coronation pop-up book too!

I couldn't resist this little fella for 30p, think he's supposed to hold matches or something? I'm thinking of converting him into a pin cushion.

This brass deer head plaque was only £1 and he looks cute with my vintage rings hanging on his antlers!

Then onto the second booty of the day and yet more Royal bargains! Coronation Scrapbook £1 and a 1952 Illustrated magazine marking the death of the King - 50p

Yet more vintage books (I couldn't resist the illustrations!) 50p each

And finally a 1950's Ludo game - £1

Roll on next booty day ;-)
