Well, seen as it's Boxing Day, Christmas is kind of over! But the turkey and stuffing sandwiches, tins of Quality Street and cringey crimbo carols are going to stick around a while longer! To be honest with you I think we'll still be eating our leftover turkey way into January! My Dad's chef friend gave us a HUGE turkey, seriously it must've been about 40lb, which I had to cook because my Dad was ill in bed with food poisoning from my Grans dodgy sandwich meat the night before and leaving the Christmas dinner to my Mom would end in disaster! So this huge turkey was to feed 5, well four seen as my Dad couldn't eat any!
This year I've seen Christmas as an excuse to get crafty! Taking inspiration from Kirsty Allsop I decided to make Christmas cards, jewellery for my friends and wrapped the presents up with Candy Canes and ribbon!
This year I've seen Christmas as an excuse to get crafty! Taking inspiration from Kirsty Allsop I decided to make Christmas cards, jewellery for my friends and wrapped the presents up with Candy Canes and ribbon!
A card I made for my Textiles teacher using an old postcard, music sheet and odd buttons
A card I made for my Grandma of the same design
A simple card design which I made for my friends, using Christmas themed card, buttons and a typewritten message
A handmade necklace made from a heart charm and beads displayed on a tag with a music sheet envelope
Another necklace made from a butterfly charm and pearl beads
The final product - One of my friends presents wrapped in brown paper, red satin ribbon with the necklace envelope attached along with a candy cane and parcel tag decoration
Well that's it for this Christmas this year, now for next xmas - YEY!
