I appear to have fallen in love with Chiffon and Lace at the moment!!
I've always considered myself a 50's gal, I love the dresses and kitschness of the era but whilst watching the BBC's adaption of Sebastian Faulks' Birdsong I found myself falling for the romantic fashions of 1910's and recently all my fashion buys have been either lace or chiffon or in the case of a recent cream blouse I bought, both...
The second instalment of Birdsong is on tonight at 9pm on BBC1 or if you missed the first episode catch it on iPlayer.
"It tells the story of Stephen Wraysford, a young Englishman who arrives in Amiens in Northern France to stay with the Azaire family and falls desperately in love with Isabelle Azaire. They begin an illicit and all-consuming affair, but the relationship falters. Years later, Stephen finds himself serving on the Western Front in the very area where he experienced his great love. As he battles amidst the blood and gore of the trenches he meets Jack Firebrace, a tunneller who unexpectedly helps him endure the ravages of war and enables him to make peace with his feelings for Isabelle."
Whatever your watching or doing, have a great evening!
I won't get chance to post next week as I have a ridiculous 4 12 hour shifts in a row at work!!
So I'll post soon with some of my latest makes...
Laura xx

I haven't seen Birdsong, but I agree lace is so beautiful and completely timeless in every way xxx
